Rain and cold slowed the Phoenix offense on Monday night in a 3-1 loss at Klamath Union.
The Pirates managed a lone goal from Maddy Mayer late in the contest but weren't able to break through the KU defense before or after in the Skyline Conference contest.
The loss dropped Phoenix to 0-2 in conference play and 2-3 overall. Phoenix returns to action on Thursday when it hosts Hidden Valley in a 7 pm start at P-T Rising Field.
