A pair of juniors led the Phoenix girls' basketball team to its second Skyline Conference win.

Alissa Alvarez finished with 16 points, 12 rebounds and seven steals while classmate Mae Woodward totallled 14 points and 14 rebounds in a 52-38 win at Hidden Valley on January 26.

Woodward keyed a 28-15 scoring advantage in the first half when she scored 12 of her points. Alvarez heated up over the final two quarters as the Pirates improved to 10-7 overall and 2-1 in the Skyline.

Annbell Delgado added 11 points and Lilliana Quintero nine for the Pirates, who host conference leader Henley on Friday night.
