The Phoenix soccer team took care of one Klamath Falls school. Now it's time to get ready for another!
The Pirates rolled past host Henley on Monday, scoring a 6-1 Skyline Conference victory. PHS is 3-0-1 in Skyline play (6-0-1 overall) and will host Mazama on Thursday afternoon at Colver Field. The Vikings are 2-1-1 after falling to North Valley on Monday.
PHS struck early on Monday, with Bryson Flenner scoring off a Logan Jenkins assist in the second minute of play. Victor Martinez scored twice in a three-minute stretch later in the first half, with assists coming from. Cain Vargas and Randy Rodriguez. Yahir Valdovinos and Jonathan Leal also scored in the first half before Ty Clayton netted a goal in the second to complete the scoring.
Phoenix outshot Henley 27-4 in the match.
