Regardless of the final score, the Phoenix girls’ soccer team felt very good about things after a Skyline Conference match against Hidden Valley.
The Pirates gave third-ranked Hidden Valley all it wanted in a 3-1 loss in Murphy on Thursday. Carina Rodriguez scored an unassisted goal for PHS 10 minutes into the match and the Pirate defense held HV scoreless throughout the second half of the match.
Phoenix (3-6 overall, 1-5 in conference play) will be at home on Monday, hosting North Valley at Colver Field starting at 4:30 pm.
